There’s something special about a local, homegrown coffee shop. Sure, the big names are reliable, but nothing beats a coffee shop with a truly local flavor, which is why I’m highlighting some of the best coffee shops in Michigan.
The very first coffeehouses date back to the 15th century. As the centuries progressed, they became known as the perfect meeting places for coffee lovers to get together, drink java, talk, listen to music and more.
Today, coffeehouses are still a popular gathering place, where friends meet to catch up on life, tell stories, share experiences and, yes, enjoy some freshly brewed coffee. Even when meeting in person isn’t an option, coffeehouses offer a familiar spot to grab your java and be on your way.
Read on for 15 of the best coffee shops in Michigan, all locally-owned. What’s your favorite spot to grab a cup of java? Get in touch, and let me know!
