Anne Erickson is a visual artist and painter based in Lansing and Detroit, Michigan. Her work is largely inspired by nature, music and, occasionally, manmade wonder. She uses acrylic paint. Anne holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre from Michigan State University.
My artwork expresses the power and beauty of nature, music and manmade wonder. I use acrylic paints, sometimes with a watercolor technique, so people often comment that my art looks like watercolor, even though it’s acrylic. While I most often paint nature, I also have a collection of album cover-inspired art. Lately, I’ve been doing gothic and dark abstract paintings, and I love getting creative with it.
Art is another artistic expression for me. I also create music, both solo music and music with my band, Upon Wings. I’ve designed almost all of the album covers for my music to day. Find Upon Wings on Spotify and Apple Music by searching “Upon Wings,” and find my solo music by searching “Anne Autumn Erickson.” Find my music on my band’s website at UponWings.com.
